Hi. Nice to meet you. I’m Erica. I’m a writer, dreamer and creative. Born and raised in the Midwest, but I’m currently residing in the Seattle area with my husband, two kids and two dogs.
I’ve spent the past 15 years writing for local magazines, non-profit organizations, newspapers, blogs, and more. After graduating from Indiana University, I moved to Arizona and began working for the big newspaper in the area. A few years later, I met my husband, and we moved back to the Midwest.
I made the switch to real estate when we moved since I grew up in the industry. I’m still a licensed Realtor in Ohio, but decided to stay at home once we had our second kid because daycare and real estate are expensive ventures.
I’ve believed in living a greener, natural lifestyle for years. In Ohio, I was known to many as “the weird lady who makes her own deodorant.” But in Seattle, I have a small side business making homemade deodorants, lotions and lip balms. I’m still known as the Deodorant Lady to many, but at least here it’s a positive thing.
Staying at home has allowed me to reconnect with my love of writing and yoga pants. Now that the kids are in school, I have more time to focus on building a successful freelance career.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you’ll check in regularly to see what’s new.
